Overview:

The Concealed Carry Weapon (CCW) Course is a comprehensive 15-hour training program designed to equip new applicants with the knowledge, skills, and confidence for safe and responsible firearm ownership. As a family-owned business, we create a judgment-free environment for beginners and seasoned gun owners alike, fostering in-depth learning and comfort in firearm use.

Course Details:

100% in-person, conducted over two days (Typically Saturday and Sunday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM, Other days and times are available on request).

•  Day 1: Full day of classroom instruction covering firearm safety, legal responsibilities, proper handling techniques, and New Mexico CCW regulations.

•  Day 2: Approximately 3 to 5 hours of live-fire range time to qualify participants, supplemented with additional classroom content to reinforce learning.

Firearm Options: Participants may bring their own handgun (caliber they wish to qualify with) or rent one for $10 (call 505-810-2277 for availability and caliber options).

Cost: $200 (does not include ammo; optional ammo package available for ranging from $20-$70 for 50 rounds of the caliber the participant intends to qualify with, subject to availability).

Requirements: Bring 50 rounds of factory-fresh ammunition for certification and 100 rounds if you would like to practice, hearing and eye protection, and appropriate clothing (e.g., closed-toed shoes, pants, no sleeveless or tank tops) for range conditions (weather updates provided in advance).

Upon request for those new to firearms, an additional 2-hour range session is available for practice shooting for free.

Additional Information:

Inclusions: Course fee covers instructional materials, a certificate of completion (valid for New Mexico DPS CCW licensing), and range access.

State Fees: Separate from course costs, include an initial DPS application fee of approximately $100 and fingerprinting at $44-$59, handled externally.

Taxes: Fees are subject to New Mexico gross receipts tax (approximately 7-8%, depending on location).
